Wahroonga - Reconciliation Week
This week is National Reconciliation week which celebrates and recognises the benefits of building respectful partnerships with Indigenous Australians and all Australians. We talked about the importance of belonging and how we all belong to The Blue Room Family and the importance of working together as well as looking after each other.
We talked about what Reconciliation is and how it is repairing friendships, we talked about the importance of listening to others and taking responsibility for our actions.
As a group we looked at how Indigenous culture really encourages a sense of belonging and had a look at some artworks that represent this, in particular, handprints. We then created our own belonging artwork using all our handprints.
