"I have been involved with Killara Beehive over 5 years with my 2 sons both attending over this time. I have found the Centre to be a very welcoming environment that is always clean, safe and secure and the meals provided by Beehive are nutritious and varied. A very good starting point for any childcare facility!
The key benefit of Beehive would have to be the staff, who are very engaged and caring of the children. The programming of activities is excellent with plenty of play time as well as class time on special topics, letters, numbers etc. Importantly, the attention given to each child, the feedback given to parents is varied and comprehensive and hugely valuable in managing any behaviour issues that come along. The portfolios are a wonderful insight into the children’s day and a precious memento of their early years. I have kept mine with pride and look forward to the day my sons look through these books and laugh!
I am particularly impressed with the school preparation activities that are conducted with the older children, it made a huge difference in familiarising and encouraging children in this next step. I have no doubt the Beehive approach, combined with wonderful staff, played a critical role in preparing my son for school and he has been happy and confident at Big School from Day 1.

Beehive has provided a safe, caring and nurturing environment where our children have been given plenty of encouragement and have felt very comfortable. The low turnover of staff has meant that we have been able to build strong relationships with open communication and most importantly, our children have had continuity of care. Beehive is a fun, engaging and stimulating centre with a wide array of activities. Our children have never been bored and come home with lots of talk about the interesting things they did at school. The teachers discipline the children in an appropriate manner and teach the children great manners. It is often commented at birthday parties run by external organizers, how polite and well mannered our group of children are. Us parent’s all agree, it’s thanks to Beehive!
Beehive’s Pre-school program is outstanding. Our son was very well prepared for Kindergarten, socially and academically. His numerical and writing skills were definitely superior to those of his peers when he commenced “big school”, again thanks to Beehive. Letterland, presentation of news on a regular basis, practicing writing in journals, introduction to readers, language classes with my son having Japanese lessons and our daughter French, just to name a few of the activities our children were exposed to at Beehive. And with all these exceptional programs, there is still time for lots of art & craft activities, games, physical education, dance and singing.
Lastly, I asked my daughter what she likes most about Beehive and her response was “Everything!” That and the fact that she looks forward to her Beehive days and is in no rush to leave at the end of the day says it all. Beehive is a great centre where you can feel confident that your children and not only receiving the best care, they are being stimulated, having fun and learning every day."
